Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training to learn all aspects of efficiently managing a store, preparing you for your own store management responsibilities. Your role will involve supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and developing operational strategies, all while fostering a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) essential for the role.
- Supervise team performance to deliver top-tier customer service.
- Communicate and embody the company's core values to promote teamwork and employee morale.
- Handle customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness standards.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process of store personnel.
- Develop and manage weekly schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Set job expectations and performance objectives for team members.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend advancement or corrective actions.
- Manage store payroll and budget targets.
- Oversee cash audits and maintain a competitive store environment.
- Provide feedback on product offerings and merchandising.
- Ensure a safe workplace by addressing hazards and maintaining equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct reconciliations as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years to qualify for this role at ALDI.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on prompt and courteous assistance.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying company policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding employee performance and achieving operational goals.
- Experience with cash register operations and equipment handling.
- Organized multitasker with attention to detail and efficiency.
- Familiarity with state and local regulations on alcohol sales is required.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
